An eminent lawyer Hon’ble Adv.Rajendra Raghuvansi, former Additional Solicitor General of India, has made valuable contribution to Nandurbar Taluka Vidhayak Samiti. When he was the chairman of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, he noticed that the knowledge of law was not reaching the doorsteps of the tribal people of Nandurbar district. The institutes imparting legal education were confined to metropolis only. It was his vision that even the tribal youths of Nandurbar district should get easy access to the legal education. With his untiring efforts he was able to fulfill his dream in the form of College of Law and Institute of Legal and Research Nandurbar. Now the Law College Nandurbar is a well established institute providing legal education not only at graduation level but also an aspirant from Nandurbar can all the way pursue post graduation in law without leaving the campus.

The College of Law (the only in the district) has also proved to be one of the greatest achievements of our Institution. It is playing a vital role in creating the legal awareness among the tribal and non-tribal. The college has been also offering free legal services to the poor and needy through its Free Legal Aid Service Cell. Considering the importance of computer education, the institution has made computer facility in all the branches of the institution. Apart from the regular academic services, the Nandurbar Taluka Vidhayak Samiti has arranged several social campaigns and activities like pulse-polio immunisation, aids awareness, eradication of superstition, tree-plantation programmes, water resources programmes and prevention of addictions like tobacco, smoking alcoholic drinks, voting right awareness, free medical aid camp etc.

In the tribal district of Nandurbar the first legal educational institution was established by NTVS in August 1999, under the chairmanship of Shri. B.K.Raghuwanshi former M.L.C, Maharashtra. The college is affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon and recognized by Bar Council of India.
